About the position

The Designer I - Interior Design position at Fieldstone Architecture & Engineering involves assisting in the design and renovation of internal spaces, focusing on architectural non-structural alterations, finishes, fixtures, lighting, and furnishings. The role requires collaboration with Client Managers, Architects, Engineers, and CAD Technicians to produce high-quality construction documentation using CAD/BIM software. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment, demonstrate strong time management skills, and maintain a positive attitude while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in programming efforts such as space planning, finish selections, and specifications.
• Support other designers in developing innovative design concepts that are practical and aesthetic.
• Prepare construction drawings for projects utilizing AutoCAD Architecture or REVIT under the direction of a Designer II - Interiors and Project Manager.
• Manage and maintain the product library, including organization of rep meetings to keep product binders up to date.
• Communicate design ideas graphically and assist in creating theme, finish, and/or furniture presentations.
• Participate in furniture installations, fieldwork, and space verification when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited program.
• 1-2 years of work experience in a directly related position.
• Intermediate level experience with AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Revit, and other modeling software programs.
• Intermediate level experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications, specifically In-Design and Photoshop.
• Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas.

Nice-to-haves

• Desire to pursue Certification or state licensure in Interior Design.
