About the position

The Interior Designer 2 position is focused on serving the needs of the Church by designing and maintaining the interior spaces of various Church facilities, including temples and headquarters. The role involves creating design programs, providing consultation, and coordinating with various stakeholders to enhance the functionality and quality of these spaces.

Responsibilities

• Plans and creates interior design programs for Church facilities by utilizing interior design experience and creative knowledge of space planning.
• Provides professional interior design consultation to Church departments upon request, including teaching and training.
• Correlates the research, evaluation, and procurement of furnishings for all Church facilities by gathering feedback from various stakeholders.
• Participates in the production of training materials and written guidelines by utilizing information from various sources.
• Consults with other Interior Designers, Architects, and management of related services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design and 8 years of non-residential interior design experience, or an Associate Degree in Interior Design with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Professional member of ASID or ICAA and hold NCIDQ registration.
• Thorough understanding of interior design and ability to provide solutions to complex design problems.
• Strong creative ability and effective communication skills to convey design ideas to varied audiences.
• Knowledge of furnishings, space planning, programming, architectural requirements, and building codes as they relate to interior design.
• Proficiency in CAD and basic rendering capabilities.
