About the position

The In-Home Design & Sales Consultant position at Custom Decorators, Inc. (CDI) involves partnering with the company to provide expert guidance and sales of custom window treatments directly in clients' homes. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while managing all aspects of the design and installation process for window treatments, including blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery. Successful candidates will leverage their design expertise and sales skills to enhance customer experiences and drive sales.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients in their homes to understand their window treatment needs and preferences.
• Provide expert design advice and product recommendations based on client requirements.
• Manage the entire sales process from initial consultation to installation.
• Quote prices and enter orders during client appointments.
• Track orders and installation schedules using provided technology.
• Collaborate with the client services satisfaction team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Experience in interior design, window treatment sales, or related fields.
• Strong sales skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Degree in design or a related field.
• Experience as an independent design company owner.
• Background in flooring sales, closet design, or kitchen & bath design.
