About the position

Custom Decorators, Inc. (CDI) is seeking experienced Design & Sales professionals to join our team as in-home custom window treatment consultants. As a part of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and exceptional customer service to clients looking for custom-made window treatments, including blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery. Our company, a division of Hunter Douglas, has been a leader in the industry for over 25 years, offering tailored in-home shopping experiences and managing all aspects of customer projects from the creative concept through to installation. In this role, you will leverage your design expertise and sales skills to meet the needs of our clients. Successful consultants often come from diverse backgrounds such as interior design, window treatment sales, flooring sales, and kitchen & bath design. Whether you are a graduate with a degree in design or an independent design company owner looking to expand your business, this opportunity allows you to work flexibly while earning uncapped commissions based on your sales performance. At CDI, we provide quality, cost-free leads through our partnerships with top-tier retailers, allowing you to focus on what you do best—selling. You will have the flexibility to schedule appointments at your convenience, and with our technology, you can access client and sales information anytime, anywhere. This includes the ability to quote prices in the client's home, enter and track orders, and manage product installation schedules. Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home consultations for custom window treatments.
  • Guide clients through the design and selection process for window treatments.
  • Manage all aspects of customer projects from concept to installation.
  • Utilize technology to access client and sales information on-the-go.
  • Quote prices and enter orders during client appointments.
  • Collaborate with the client services satisfaction team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience in interior design or window treatment sales.
  • Strong sales skills with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with design software and technology for sales tracking.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in design or a related field.
  • Background in flooring sales or kitchen & bath design.
  • Experience as an independent design company owner.
