About the position

Custom Decorators, Inc. (CDI) is seeking experienced Design & Sales professionals to join our team as in-home custom window treatment consultants. As a part of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and exceptional customer service to clients looking for custom-made window treatments, including blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery. Our company, a division of Hunter Douglas, has been a leader in the in-home design and installation service for over 25 years, specializing in tailored solutions that enhance the beauty and functionality of homes across North America. In this role, you will manage all aspects of the customer’s project, from the initial creative concept to the ordering process and final installation. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing them with a personalized shopping experience that reflects their style and enhances their living spaces. Our professional design and installation team is dedicated to delivering premium products and services, ensuring that every project is completed to the highest standards. We are looking for individuals who have a background in interior design, window treatment sales, flooring sales, closet design, kitchen & bath, or related fields. Graduates with degrees in design or those who own independent design companies are also encouraged to apply. This position offers the flexibility to schedule appointments at your convenience, allowing you to balance your work and personal life effectively. Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home consultations for custom window treatments.
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle from design to installation.

  • Quote prices and enter orders during client appointments.
  • Track orders and installation schedules using provided technology.
  • Collaborate with the client services satisfaction team for support.

Requirements

  • Experience in interior design, window treatment sales, or related fields.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage projects from concept to completion.
  • Proficiency in using technology for sales and order management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in design or a related field.
  • Experience as an independent design company owner.
