About the position

As a Gensler Designer, you will leverage your creativity and design passion to create unique and functional spaces for clients. This role involves active participation in all phases of the design process, from concept to construction, ensuring that interiors are engaging and meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist all phases of Interiors project deliverables from Concept Design through Construction Administration.
  • Perform assignments including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation with minimal oversight.
  • Produce mood, material, and design presentations independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Create furniture plans, specifications, material selections, and schedules needed for construction documentation independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in client and consultant meetings to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Utilize knowledge of furniture, technology, custom furniture and lighting solutions, finishes, materials, color selections, and ID specifications.
  • Independently create material palettes and inspiration image boards.
  • Help develop new or improved design techniques.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years post-graduate experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA or NCARB accredited school.
  • High proficiency in Sketch-Up, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Bluebeam.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Revit and Enscape required.
  • Advanced 3D visualization software skills essential.
  • Excellent color sense and passion for design.
  • Strong graphic design, organizational, time management, and communication skills.
