About the position

As a Designer within the Interiors Studio at Gensler, you will collaborate with Design Directors to develop design solutions and coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of projects. This role emphasizes proficiency in translating sketches and documents into 2D/3D models and images, alongside a commitment to collaboration and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all project phases, including conceptual design, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
• Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives.
• Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.
• Utilize hand rendering techniques to communicate design concepts.
• Create FF&E selections and specifications and monitor schedules and installation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, or foreign equivalent.
• 5+ years of related project experience.
• Proficiency in modeling using 2D/3D software, such as CAD, Revit, Octane, 3dViz, 3dsMAX, and/or Rhino utilizing V-Ray.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or SketchUp.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• State licensure and LEED accreditation.
• Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and parametric design software, including Grasshopper.
