Full-time - Mid Level
Dumbo, NY

About the position

Joanna Pertz Landscape Architecture (JPLA) is seeking a full-time Landscape Designer with 3-6 years of experience to join our dynamic and award-winning design studio located in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Since our establishment in 2005, we have built a diverse portfolio of landscape design projects that encompass a variety of types and scales, including hospital campuses, multi-family residential developments, courtyards, terraces, rooftops, public waterfront parks, and small private gardens. Our studio not only focuses on design but also provides long-term landscape maintenance oversight for select clients, ensuring that our projects thrive over time. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and creative individual who possesses the skills and capability to manage projects from inception to completion. This includes carrying out production on the full range of the practice's work, which involves concept studies, graphics, renderings, construction documentation, detailing, specifications, and construction administration. Additionally, the role will require contributions to non-project work, such as awards submissions, marketing materials, and site visits, which may involve travel within New York City and its surrounding areas. We value a collaborative environment and place a high emphasis on design excellence, sustainability, and the craftsmanship of built work. The position is available for immediate hire, and salary will be commensurate with experience. JPLA is an equal opportunity employer, and we encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply.
