About the position

The Designer position at Gallo is responsible for executing mid- to lower-complexity design projects for assigned brands. The role involves conceptualizing, developing, and delivering innovative design solutions that support the creative services organization. The designer will manage a high volume of fast-paced projects, ensuring timely completion while adhering to brand identity standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative design solutions across assigned projects.
• Provide design support to enhance the capacity and effectiveness of the design team.
• Ensure compliance with departmental processes, project timelines, and budgets.
• Collaborate with colleagues to execute design assignments aligned with project specifications.
• Tailor creative deliverables to engage consumers effectively across various platforms.
• Craft compelling visuals that drive brand engagement and produce sketches in support of projects.
• Offer feedback and share ideas with other designers and team members.
• Deliver high-quality output with attention to detail, on time and on budget.
• Apply brand identity and style guidelines consistently across all design elements.
• Stay updated on design industry trends and apply modern design principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, advertising, communications, or journalism plus 1 year of experience in graphic design, copywriting, art direction, or campaign development; OR a high school diploma plus 5 years of relevant experience.
• Original portfolio showcasing work samples across various output types.
• Experience in developing and refining designs from conception through execution.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 apps and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, advertising, communications, or journalism plus 3 years of experience in graphic design or related fields.
• External agency experience developing design solutions for various clients.
• Knowledge of printing and digital production technologies.
