About the position

The 3D Mechanical Piping Designer at Advanced Process Solutions is a full-time role focused on designing equipment and piping assemblies for thermal process skid systems. The position requires proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and involves collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to create accurate 3D models and fabrication drawings that adhere to project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design 3D piping systems utilizing Autodesk Inventor.
• Manage and organize design data within Autodesk Vault.
• Translate P&ID and equipment list into detailed 3D models of process systems.
• Prepare dimensional assembly and fabrication drawings.
• Generate accurate BOM and CAD layouts for manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
• Complete drawing maintenance for needed revisions and as-built updates.
• Prepare skid layout drawings for project and proposal submittals.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.

Requirements

• Associate degree or certification in Mechanical Design, Drafting or related field.
• Proficiency using Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D modeling software required.
• Minimum 2 years or more of related drafting experience.
• Experience using 2D and 3D AutoCAD preferred.
• Mechanically inclined, detail oriented and eager to learn.
• Experience in sanitary processing equipment and piping is preferred.
• Skilled in Autodesk software and Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of aseptic design and fabrication principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Inventor Tube & Pipe as well as Frame Generator.
