About The Position
As a Desk Review Specialist at Kemper, you will play a crucial role in reviewing incoming auto damage demands from various carriers or entities. Your primary responsibility will be to assess whether the amounts claimed are reasonable and consistent with industry standards. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of automotive damage assessment. You will examine third-party vehicle damage through photos, estimates, and invoices to ensure that all damages are loss-related and that the most cost-effective parts were utilized according to industry standards. Additionally, you will review third-party Total Loss claims, ensuring that valuations are accurate based on the vehicle's condition, mileage, options, and other relevant factors. In this role, you will also evaluate demands for rental reimbursement or loss of use and advance charges, ensuring they align with the facts of the claim and adhere to industry standards. It is essential to follow the claims procedures and guidelines set by the company to produce high-quality work. You will be expected to complete all demand reviews in a timely manner, obtain necessary documentation to substantiate the demand or settlement being offered, and provide recommendations for reasonable settlement amounts based on your reviews. Continuous learning is a key aspect of this position, as you will be required to complete ongoing company and external industry training to stay updated on auto repair techniques and procedures. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
