About the position

The Desktop Application Developer will join a premier manufacturing organization in their Chicago office, focusing on enhancing their flagship software application for 3D modeling and fabrication. This role involves interfacing with structural engineering and machinery, contributing to both frontend and backend development in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop software in C#, WinForms/WPF, Visual Studio
• Add features to the flagship software application
• Interface with structural engineering and machinery
• Collaborate with a distributed, global team
• Engage in hands-on development and team collaboration

Requirements

• Experience in C#, WinForms/WPF, Visual Studio
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
• Experience with 3D CAD/CAM software, machining, and/or 3D engines
• Experience developing for embedded systems and controllers
• Expertise with multiple operating systems, scripting, and test frameworks
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with C++, Python, or other programming languages
