Desktop Support Digital Transformation Intern

About the position

The Desktop Support Digital Transformation Intern position at Cable One and its family of brands is designed for individuals currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. This role focuses on providing support in desktop support concepts, practices, and methodologies, while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment. Interns will work under the guidance of experienced professionals, contributing to the company's success by assisting with various desktop support duties and learning about the company's operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Gains familiarity with Desktop Support concepts, practices, and methodologies.
• Performs standard Desktop Support duties, including installing and configuring basic workstation hardware and software ensuring system connectivity.
• Troubleshoots hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Assists with installation and update of anti-virus software and with decontamination of infected systems.
• Assists with user moves, including de-installation and re-installation.
• Assists with desktop, laptop, and printer break-fix services.
• Gathers and records systems inventory data.
• Learns and complies with the company's desktop, peripheral, and related connectivity and security guidelines and standards.
• Learns how actions impact established service level agreements.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Gains business, administrative, and/or trade experience through on-the-job training and participation in project work.
