About the position

The Desktop Support Engineer position is a critical role within our IT support organization, aimed at delivering exceptional end-user computing (EUC) services. This role is based in San Francisco, CA, and requires the individual to be onsite from day one. The primary responsibility of the Desktop Support Engineer is to provide fast and effective technical assistance to end users, ensuring that their IT needs are met promptly and efficiently. This position is integral to the day-to-day operations of our IT support team, focusing on delivering high-quality IT services directly at the customer site. The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, managing desktop environments, and ensuring that all end-user devices are functioning optimally. This includes maintaining and supporting desktop management and infrastructure services, which are essential for the smooth operation of IT services. The engineer will also play a key role in identifying areas for improvement in support processes, performance metrics, and overall end-user satisfaction. Continuous improvement is a core aspect of this role, as the engineer will be expected to implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the user experience. In addition to technical skills, the Desktop Support Engineer must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as they will be interacting with end users regularly.
