About the position

The Desktop Support Engineer at Robert Half is a contract position focused on providing timely technical support to end-users in the investment and financial industry. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft products, experience with Windows 10 environments, and knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory. The position is hybrid, allowing for both onsite and remote work, and is intended for long-term engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to end users and address their issues effectively
  • Provide excellent customer service while managing problems until they are resolved
  • Support Windows 10 environments and ensure they function optimally
  • Utilize Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer effectively to perform tasks
  • Manage and troubleshoot user accounts on Office 365
  • Use your working knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, and its associated tools to maintain the tech environment
  • Support remote access systems including MFA, Citrix, and VPN connections
  • Maintain a commitment to quality service and effective problem management
  • Use your knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AV systems such as Creston, Cisco, and Endpoint Manager (Intune), SCCM, and Auto Pilot to enhance service delivery
  • Leverage your knowledge and experience of ITIL in your daily tasks

Requirements

  • Must hold a minimum of three years of experience in a Help Desk Support Specialist role or similar
  • Proficiency in Android Development is essential
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Cisco Technologies
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft technologies and software
  • Must be comfortable with handling and troubleshooting Apple Devices
  • A solid understanding of Computer Hardware is crucial
  • Should be experienced with Configuration Management
  • Experience with Deployments is necessary
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 is required
  • Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Should be able to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Must be willing to continually update knowledge and skills
  • Knowledge of ITIL and industry best practices is a plus.
