About the position

The Desktop Support Engineer position at Bravens Inc. is a contract role focused on providing enterprise-level desktop support within a data center environment. The role requires strong technical skills, particularly in data center operations, IT infrastructure, and effective communication with both local and remote support teams. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of IT systems and supporting various business unit requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop support at an enterprise level.
  • Utilize data center knowledge and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues.
  • Communicate effectively with local and remote support teams.
  • Manage IT asset identification, inventory, documentation, and management processes.
  • Oversee onsite teams to ensure orderliness and accessibility of IT spaces.
  • Perform incident response, root cause analysis, and reporting for IT issues.
  • Create and modify IT space room and rack diagrams using Visio or similar applications.
  • Ensure adherence to IT operational best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of data center experience.
  • College degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent certification.
  • Data Center operational or technical certifications.
  • Network operational or technical certifications.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Familiarity with software applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Outlook, MS Teams, and Google Chrome.
