About the position

The Desktop Support Engineer role focuses on providing comprehensive IT support at an enterprise level, particularly within manufacturing and laboratory environments. This position requires advanced troubleshooting skills for various IT devices and systems, ensuring seamless operation and maintenance of IT assets while adhering to strict compliance standards in the healthcare and life sciences domain.

Responsibilities

  • Support overall manufacturing and lab IT systems and devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with AV devices including projectors, microphones, and cameras.
  • Manage IT asset lifecycle including collection, storage, labeling, imaging, allocation, recovery, and disposal.
  • Provide smart hands and feet support for technology teams as needed.
  • Ensure basic network connectivity and availability of services at the site.
  • Coordinate cable patching with vendors on demand.
  • Install and configure hardware and software components for end users.
  • Monitor printer usage and coordinate with vendors for service continuity.
  • Manage power shutdown maintenance activities in the data center.

Requirements

  • Experience in supporting manufacturing and lab IT systems.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for IT devices and AV equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multiple teams and OEMs.
  • Knowledge of GMP and GxP compliance standards.
  • Experience working in a clean room or manufacturing environment.
