About the position

As a Desktop Support Engineer at SS&C, you will play a crucial role in shaping a new client-facing technology support team within the finance industry. Your primary responsibility will be to provide on-site technical support, ensuring seamless operations and swift problem resolution for clients, including some of the world's largest hedge funds and private equity administrators.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee physical and virtual phones via RingCentral.
  • Support Multifactor Authentication with Duo for enhanced security.
  • Manage password protocols using SecretServer.
  • Handle physical office passes with Brivo.
  • Deploy software and troubleshoot remotely using Endpoint Central by ManageEngine.
  • Manage Zoom for desktop and Zoom Rooms.
  • Administer VMware Horizon and VMware vSphere.
  • Manage users and computers within Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Handle Office 365 on both desktop and console.
  • Utilize Microsoft Intune for streamlined device management.
  • Administer Barracuda email and web filtering console.
  • Command the Trend Micro console for antivirus protection.
  • Oversee Adobe Creative Suite operations.
  • Ensure smooth printer functionality.
  • Deploy and manage hardware resources effectively.
  • Escalate critical issues as necessary, ensuring timely attention.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree, or a high school degree and 2 years of related experience.
  • Proven expertise in IT on-site support.
  • Good understanding and practical knowledge of critical end-user computing systems including desktop and notebook computers, desktop operating systems and applications, smartphones, tablets, wearables, and other mobile devices, mobile, web, and cloud applications, and virtual desktops and applications.
  • Understanding of the unique challenges faced by front office financial services.
  • Ability to recommend process improvements to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Effective and empathetic communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize client needs while maintaining security and compliance.
