About the position

The Desktop Support Engineer will provide comprehensive support for IT systems and devices in a manufacturing and lab environment. This role involves troubleshooting, managing IT assets, and ensuring the functionality of various IT equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards. The position requires strong communication skills to collaborate with multiple teams and vendors, as well as a focus on maintaining operational efficiency in a clean room and regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support overall manufacturing and lab IT systems and devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with AV devices and IT equipment.
  • Manage IT asset lifecycle including collection, storage, and disposal.
  • Provide smart hands and feet support for technology teams.
  • Ensure basic network connectivity and printer management at the site.
  • Coordinate cable patching with vendors as needed.
  • Install and configure hardware and software components for end users.
  • Maintain compliance with GMP and GxP standards in a clean room environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in desktop support at an enterprise level.
  • Knowledge of data center operations and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with healthcare/life sciences domain.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teams and vendors.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for IT devices and AV equipment.
