About the position

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a continuing requirement for Homeland Enterprise Information Technology Secure Services & Support (HEITS) for the continual operations and maintenance and evolution of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN). Leidos is seeking a broadly experienced candidate to provide Tier 1 and 2 support for multiple domains with users locally and remotely, with excellent communication skills and the ability to support VIP and VVIP customers. This position will work with Active Directory and Exchange to create, modify, and terminate accounts, as well as troubleshoot workstations, printers, and other peripheral devices. Additional tasks include imaging, installing, and configuring workstations and troubleshooting Windows 10 and above and Microsoft Office suite. The candidate should be interested in learning new technology and providing support to the user community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for multiple domains with users locally and remotely.
  • Work with Active Directory and Exchange to create, modify, and terminate accounts.
  • Troubleshoot workstations, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Image, install, and configure workstations.
  • Troubleshoot Windows 10 and above, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
  • Learn new technology and provide support to the user community.
  • Issue and maintain Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) tokens.
  • Work with automated desk tools such as Microsoft System Center, Remedy, and ServiceNow.
  • Troubleshoot Citrix desktop visualization environment and thin client.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills and able to work in a professional environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI.

Nice-to-haves

  • DHS or other government contract experience.
  • Knowledge of HEITS processes.
  • Comfortable discussing technical information with users and other support personnel.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and IT concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work freely as well as an integral member of a team.
