About the position

The Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to various operating systems and devices, including Mac OS X and Windows. This role requires strong technical skills in desktop support, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to customer service. The engineer will work collaboratively with team members to ensure effective problem resolution and maintain high standards of service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix issues on Mac OS X and Windows solutions.
  • Configure and troubleshoot iOS and Android operating systems.
  • Script with PowerShell for automation and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Support and troubleshoot Microsoft Office Suite and VPN client software.
  • Utilize remote desktop tools for effective support delivery.
  • Perform root cause analysis to determine appropriate actions based on results.

Requirements

  • Excellent desktop support technical skills.
  • Experience in supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in customer service scenarios.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience with VPN client software and remote desktop tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with scripting in PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with various Apple devices including MacBook, iMac, and iPad.
