About the position

The Desktop Support Engineer will be a key member of Epic's Computer and Technology Services (CaTS) team, providing technical support to colleagues for their hardware and software needs. This role focuses on managing internal technology functions, ensuring smooth operations, and enhancing user experience through effective troubleshooting and process design. The engineer will also participate in the technical planning and execution of large annual conferences, contributing to the overall mission of revolutionizing healthcare through technology.

Responsibilities

  • Support colleagues with hardware and software needs.
  • Manage day-to-day functions of internal technology.
  • Deploy Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Support endpoint security solutions.
  • Design new processes to improve help desk efficiency.
  • Participate in technical planning and execution of large annual conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A history of academic and professional success
  • Strong technical aptitude and a desire to learn
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Relocation to Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
