About the position

The Desktop Support System Administrator role involves providing technical support and assistance to customers, focusing on troubleshooting, software installations, and equipment management. The position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users. The role also includes responsibilities such as imaging new hardware, documenting work in ServiceNow, and collaborating with internal teams on technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot customer issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Install software following security and internal processes.
  • Image or provision new equipment hardware and provide it to customers.
  • Document work activities in ServiceNow.
  • Support customers using good customer service skills.
  • Utilize knowledge of Windows OS & M365 to assist customers.
  • Test Intune processes for Tier 3 team and provide feedback.
  • Assist with developing team processes and a knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on technical issues.
  • Work on special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Moderate knowledge and demonstrable skills of Windows OS & M365.
  • Basic understanding of MECM, Active Directory, Tanium, Intune, & Beyond Trust.
  • Basic knowledge of Macintosh Apple devices with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong organizational skills to track onboarding and shipping activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with asset management processes for customer billing.
  • Experience working with vendors on warranty cases.
