About the position

The Desktop Support Technician will provide on-site technical support for clients in the Philadelphia / Cherry Hill area, ensuring the integrity of their technological infrastructure. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, resolving technical issues, and maintaining various hardware and software systems to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer support and technical services
  • Take ownership of tasks and follow through to ensure complete resolution
  • Work closely with the company’s support desk team to resolve technical issues
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
  • Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks for network equipment, workstations, and peripheral devices
  • Provide training to customers about product usage and maintenance
  • Continuously monitor schedule in the Dispatch Portal and acknowledge newly assigned tickets throughout the day
  • Acknowledge and review all assigned tickets for the next day by the end of the current shift
  • Complete daily review of incoming emails to acknowledge updates, memos, and change controls
  • Review age of equipment and software, and make recommendations for upgrades
  • Document client processes by creating SOPs including New User Setup & Termination Processes, Workstation Setup Guides, and Network Diagrams

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of computer hardware repair experience
  • At least 3 years of outstanding customer service experience
  • At least 2-3 years of hands-on technical experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows 7 & 10 devices
  • Strong working knowledge of Apple laptops and desktops
  • Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, File & Printer Servers
  • Strong working knowledge of Office 365/Google Suite
  • Strong working knowledge of networking and network switches
  • Experience with hardware installations and troubleshooting

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic knowledge of VoIP systems
  • Basic knowledge of video conference systems
  • Basic knowledge of systems and network security
  • Basic knowledge of system backup
  • Basic knowledge of imaging
