About the position

The Desktop Support Technician will provide technical assistance and support for the organization's desktop computers and end-users. This role is essential for ensuring that desktop systems are functioning optimally and that users receive timely support for their technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software
• Provide technical support for desktop computers, printers, and peripherals
• Set up and maintain user accounts and profiles
• Assist with network connectivity issues including LAN and VPN configurations
• Perform routine maintenance on desktop systems
• Respond to help desk tickets in a timely manner
• Collaborate with IT team members to resolve technical issues

Requirements

• Proficiency in analyzing and resolving technical issues
• Knowledge of computer management tools and techniques
• Familiarity with various operating systems including Linux and Windows
• Strong understanding of firewall configurations
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
