About the position

The Desktop/Tech Support: II (Intermediate) position involves providing hands-on user support for troubleshooting hardware and software issues related to desktop and laptop computers. The role includes configuring workstations for new users, upgrading existing equipment and software, and maintaining network and telecommunication systems. The technician will also troubleshoot LAN, server, and connectivity issues, utilize a ticketing system, and perform data migrations and restorations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems for desktop and laptop computers.
  • Configure workstations for new users and upgrade existing equipment and software.
  • Set up and maintain network and telecommunication systems.
  • Troubleshoot LAN, server, and connectivity issues.
  • Utilize ticketing system for issue tracking.
  • Re-image computers and perform data migrations and restorations.
  • Conduct remote problem solving as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in desktop/tech support.
  • Working knowledge of hardware components and configurations.
  • Strong software experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree or certifications may be beneficial.
