About the position

The Development Director at Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) is responsible for leading and overseeing the implementation of fund development strategies to meet the agency's budgetary requirements and growth goals. This role involves cultivating relationships with board members, donors, and the community, as well as managing communications, public relations, and marketing strategies. The position requires strong leadership and management skills to supervise staff and ensure successful execution of various fundraising campaigns and events.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the implementation of fund development strategies to fulfill agency budgetary requirements and growth goals.
• Cultivate relationships with board members, donors, and community stakeholders.
• Manage communications, public relations, and marketing strategies for the agency.
• Supervise staff in the development and implementation of long-term and annual strategies for fundraising and donor engagement.
• Monitor key performance indicators and industry trends related to fundraising and development.
• Collaborate with Program Directors to write grants and reports for private funding needs.
• Support the Executive Director in strategic recommendations and crisis communications.
• Directly supervise staff, including development, training, and performance reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Two years of work experience in fundraising or a certificate in fundraising from a recognized program.
• Three to four years of experience in non-profit fundraising, public relations, and community organizing.
• Strong organizational, planning, communication, management, and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge of fund development tools and donor database management software.
• Experience with staff management and leadership.
