Our work depends on a DevOps Automation Engineer (CI/CD tools) joining our team to support the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) program in Falls Church, VA. This is an IT Service Management contract in support of GENM-O's mission to enable information dominance from the tactical edge to the home station for the Army, DoD, National Command Authority, and international partners by acquiring, implementing, and sustaining strategic satellite and terrestrial communication systems, and by leveraging technologies to meet current and future requirements. AGUN is to design, procure, maintain, deploy, and transition a Global SDN solution in accordance with applicable Army policies and regulations. The AGUN-INC1 TO will provide a unified approach to ensure standardized deployments and configurations at multiple locations throughout the globe. To be successful in this position you need to be collaborative and willing to work within a team. While you will need to be a self-starter completing tasks on your own, working together is critical in this role. You will be interfacing with the client and senior staff. Therefore, you should be articulate in your communications because your opinion matters. You will need to explain technical intricacies in a way that is easily understood. As a DevOps Automation Engineer (CI/CD tools), you will identify opportunities for automation in SD-WAN provisioning, configuration management, traffic engineering, and performance optimization. You will develop implementation plans for integrating SD-WAN automation into existing DevOps workflows and toolchains. Your role will involve designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines tailored to SD-WAN environments to automate the build, test, and deployment processes for SD-WAN configurations and policies. You will configure and manage SD-WAN controllers, orchestrators, and edge devices within CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent and reliable SD-WAN deployments. Additionally, you will implement version control and automated testing mechanisms for SD-WAN configurations and changes, ensuring compliance, security, and consistency of SD-WAN deployments through automated configuration management and validation. Familiarity with Ansible and/or Terraform is also required.
