As a DevOps Automation Engineer (CI/CD tools) at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) program based in Falls Church, VA. This position is part of an IT Service Management contract aimed at enhancing information dominance for the Army, Department of Defense (DoD), National Command Authority, and international partners. Your primary responsibility will be to design, procure, maintain, deploy, and transition a Global Software-Defined Networking (SDN) solution, ensuring compliance with Army policies and regulations. You will be tasked with identifying opportunities for automation in SD-WAN provisioning, configuration management, traffic engineering, and performance optimization. In this role, you will develop implementation plans for integrating SD-WAN automation into existing DevOps workflows and toolchains. You will design and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines specifically tailored for SD-WAN environments, automating the build, test, and deployment processes for SD-WAN configurations and policies. Your expertise will be essential in configuring and managing SD-WAN controllers, orchestrators, and edge devices within CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent and reliable deployments. You will also implement version control and automated testing mechanisms for SD-WAN configurations and changes, ensuring compliance, security, and consistency through automated configuration management and validation. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with clients and senior staff, requiring you to articulate technical intricacies in a manner that is easily understood. Your ability to work independently while also being a team player will be critical to your success in this role. Familiarity with tools such as Ansible and Terraform is essential, and you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree along with at least 5 years of relevant experience. A Secret clearance is required for this position, and you must be a U.S. citizen.
