About the position

As a DevOps Cloud Engineer at GDIT, you will deliver innovative solutions tailored to the unique requirements of clients, focusing on application development and enhancing user experience. This role involves supporting USSOCOM at Fort Liberty, NC, and requires expertise in automating platform services, managing software releases, and ensuring system security and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Automate the installation, configuration, and maintenance of platform services.
• Manage system tuning for reliability and efficiency.
• Guide and manage software releases for new features.
• Troubleshoot system-related problems and ensure system security.
• Provide expertise in the development or modification of software programs and applications.

Requirements

• 8+ years of related experience in IT and/or software development.
• Experience in deploying applications in an Enterprise Cloud environment.
• In-depth understanding of DevOps methodologies and practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.
• Experience in VMware vSphere / ESXi / NSX-T and networking technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and OpenStack.
• Familiarity with automation/orchestration tools like Chef, Ansible, or BOSH.
• Understanding of systems monitoring and analytics tools such as Prometheus or Splunk.
