About the position

The DevOps Cloud Engineer will be part of the Source Code Management Squad, focusing on GitHub administration and the implementation of GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS). This role requires a deep understanding of DevOps principles to deliver scalable and secure infrastructure solutions, optimizing the development lifecycle and managing operations across various Cloud Infrastructure platforms. The position emphasizes open-source contributions and continuous learning within the engineering community.

Responsibilities

• Provide GitHub administration including repository and user management.
• Implement GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS).
• Support Mend and understand Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools.
• Deliver scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.
• Optimize the development lifecycle and manage operations across Cloud Infrastructure platforms.
• Contribute to open-source projects and share knowledge with the engineering community.

Requirements

• Strong experience in GitHub administration.
• Hands-on experience with 2 or more programming languages (Python, Java, Groovy, Go, etc.).
• Proficiency in scripting with Python and/or Shell for automation.
• In-depth knowledge of GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with industry-standard monitoring tools like Splunk or DataDog.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or equivalent tools.
• Experience with Software Security Scanning (SAST or SCA) tools, such as Mend.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in Helm deployment strategies and management.
• Strong background in AWS & Azure cloud services.
