About the position

The DevOps/Cloud Engineer at REI Systems is responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for enterprise-scale systems. This role focuses on developing and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) artifacts, implementing container-based application solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud environments. The position is integral to supporting the USCIS mission by delivering high-quality code and enhancing operational efficiency through automation and innovative technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for enterprise-scale systems.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) artifacts using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Implement and manage container-based application solutions utilizing Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Write and execute ad-hoc scripts in Bash and Python to automate and streamline DevOps processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for scaling and optimizing cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot issues with development teams through testing and configuration validation.
  • Provide deployment support for applications and microservices in cloud environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in DevOps or related roles.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins.
  • Strong technical skills in container technologies and microservice architecture.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Perl, and Python.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud service providers such as AWS or Azure.
