About the position

The DevOps/Cloud Engineer role at Kforce involves designing and developing automation scripts, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and overseeing software releases. The position requires advanced knowledge in cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and observability tools. The engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal system performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Design/develop release automation scripts in conjunction with existing resources and tooling
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and supporting infrastructure, system, and security configurations and policies
  • Overseeing the release of new software versions and managing the implementation process
  • Implementing advanced observability practices, including the monitoring of system behavior and resource utilization to identify constraints, prepare for future scaling needs, and ensure optimal system performance

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of DevOps Cloud Engineering experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Groovy scripting for Jenkins
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and supporting infrastructure, system, and security configurations and policies
  • Experience overseeing the release of new software versions and managing the implementation process
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (network, security, deployment, automation, serverless technologies), ideally with the related certification
  • Hands-On Kubernetes skills and knowledge, including GitOps for Release Management using ArgoCD, Helm, and/or similar technologies
  • Hands-on experience with one or more Observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, SplunkCloud, etc.)
  • Proven experience in implementing advanced observability practices, including the monitoring of system behavior and resource utilization to identify constraints, prepare for future scaling needs, and ensure optimal system performance
  • Strong technical design, development, analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodologies
