About the position

The Cloud, Infrastructure, DevSecOps Engineer position at CAE focuses on the design, analysis, implementation, and support of cloud systems and solutions. The role involves collaborating with a team of software and IT engineers to develop high-performance cloud-based solutions, ensuring security and compliance while adopting best practices in cloud deployment and DevSecOps methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of open architectures and applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms for optimal cloud deployment.
  • Adopt Cloud best practices and technologies to enable capabilities such as DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, and Micro-Services.
  • Architect, design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement cloud solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Information Technology Security team to ensure secure and compliant applications and solutions.
  • Interface effectively with customer personnel at various organizational levels.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and report on task status.
  • Generate preliminary and detailed designs for enhancements or modifications to existing designs.
  • Perform effectively as part of a project team.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a specific technology practice (Infrastructure, Network, Storage, Servers, Security, Windows, Linux, etc.) for both on-premise and cloud resources.
  • 2+ years of network and operating system experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in container management technologies like OpenShift, AKS, EKS, Rancher, Docker.
  • Experience using a source code repository such as Git, BitBucket, Mercurial, or Subversion.
  • Experience using a defect management system such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Fogbugz.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-refined troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve systemic problems.
  • Ability to perform technical briefings to various groups and engineers.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals and technical procedures.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Experience using and deploying RDMS, NoSQL, or Graph databases.
  • Experience managing/implementing server/clients with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Experience scaling applications based on user demand.
  • Experience working with service-based architectures and Web APIs.
  • IAT Level 2 Certification (e.g. Security +).
  • Experience with HTML, HTML5, CSS, XML, XSLT, and JSON.
