About the position

The DevOps & Cloud Manager at Direct Care Innovations will lead a team of engineers to ensure the efficient functioning of the company's Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans for the Cloud & DevOps Operations department, managing continuous integration and deployment pipelines, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team. The manager will also ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of cloud infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with application development processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to manage Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Cloud & DevOps Operations department.
• Manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
• Hire, mentor, and build a high-performing team of cloud and DevOps engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of cloud infrastructure and application development.
• Ensure security, reliability, and scalability of cloud infrastructure through monitoring and optimization.
• Design and implement a zero-downtime deployment strategy.
• Stay updated with industry trends to improve efficiency and system performance.
• Establish relationships with stakeholders for timely project delivery and issue resolution.
• Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for automating infrastructure provisioning.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators for continuous improvement.
• Develop documentation and training materials for knowledge sharing and onboarding.
• Participate in the IT On-Call rotation.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing cloud-based infrastructure.
• 4+ years of experience utilizing at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
• At least 2 years of experience managing a leading Cloud Services environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Understanding of Zero Downtime Deployment strategies (Canary and Blue/Green Deployments).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good time-management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Azure CSP subscriptions.
• Experience with Atlassian Products (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence).
• Knowledge of Virtual Networking, Security, and Firewalls.
