About the position

The DevOps Cloud Platform Engineer role at Booz Allen involves setting up and managing cloud environments to support clients in modernizing their IT infrastructures. The engineer will work closely with cloud architects to provision virtual machines and networks, applying DevOps practices to enhance cloud solutions. Responsibilities

  • Set up cloud environments and provision computer networking, storage, and virtual networks.
  • Manage server configuration for modern cloud solutions.
  • Establish or provision virtual machines or networks using cloud service providers.
  • Develop, deploy, and manage IT infrastructures for server and network components.
  • Automate builds, regression testing, monitoring, and releases across environments.
  • Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in developing tools and processes for DevOps or DevSecOps maturity.
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipeline issues.
  • Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience provisioning computer networking and storage, and setting up servers including VMs or networks.
  • Ability to create solutions to complex problems in a collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, or Azure.
  • Experience writing scripts using Python, Bash, or Boto3.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Experience improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Master's degree.
  • Security Engineering or Cyber Engineering Certification.
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP Certification.
