About the position

The DevOps Engineer role at ITEC involves working in a fast-paced environment to assist in the migration and deployment of applications within an on-prem cloud infrastructure. The position requires collaboration with application developers to create deployments, establish common services, and recommend solutions to optimize hardware resource usage. Familiarity with Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) tools and software is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in migration and deployment of applications in an on-prem cloud infrastructure.
• Provide assistance to application developers in creating deployments.
• Stand up common services and recommend solutions for efficient hardware resource usage.
• Utilize CNCF tools and software in daily tasks.

Requirements

• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, containerd, etc.).
• Experience with application deployment using CI/CD (GitLab, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
• Experience with storage provisioning (OpenEBS, Gluster, etc.) and data backup and restore.
• Experience with Linux (CentOS desired).
• Experience with several programming languages (dynamic and compiled).
• Experience with building automation tools for repetitive tasks.
• Experience with metrics (Elastic, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

• Microservices architecture and design.
• Experience working in a collaborative, agile environment that supports rapidly changing requirements.
