As a DevOps Engineer (Application Systems Analyst) at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in transforming technology into opportunity. This position is integral to enhancing the systems that matter most, particularly in support of the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). You will work under general supervision, demonstrating competence in most phases of application systems analysis while seeking guidance in others. In this role, you will support the review and analysis of new requests for system services, providing project managers with scope and level of effort information. You will be responsible for maintaining thorough documentation of Application Systems, compiling reports on outages, trends, and analyses of IT systems. Your expertise in network troubleshooting and support will be essential as you monitor and report alarms, triage calls, and resolve issues. You will introduce processes, tools, and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development life cycle, ensuring efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards. Your work will also involve mitigating risks, controlling costs, and managing large-scale integrated software projects. You will review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results. A comprehensive knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques is required, along with proficiency in one or more web technologies. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
