About the position

The DevOps Engineer (AWS Cloud) position is a key role within a high-growth tech startup located in Tampa, FL. This role offers the opportunity to build a new cloud environment using the latest AWS technologies, contributing significantly to the development of a revolutionary cloud-based SaaS product. The position emphasizes a developer mentality while focusing on DevOps practices, allowing for hands-on involvement in coding and infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

• Become one of the 'go to' AWS DevOps engineers.
• Build out a new AWS environment using One-Click Deploy.
• Utilize AWS, CI/CD, Cloud formation templates, and AWS connect call centre technologies.
• Engage in hands-on coding and building out DevOps from the ground level up.
• Collaborate with a team of three highly skilled architects.

Requirements

• Strong AWS DevOps experience.
• Ability to build DevOps from the ground level up and tackle problems through coding.
• Developer mentality with a passion for DevOps, specifically in JavaScript, React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Strong CI/CD experience.
• Experience with Cloud formation templates is an advantage.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
