About the position

The DevOps Engineer at SimplePractice, LLC is responsible for building, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring infrastructure utilizing DevOps technologies. This role involves maintaining and administering multiple products within the AWS cloud infrastructure by collaborating closely with the infrastructure and development groups. The engineer will build, configure, and improve infrastructure, as well as configure and maintain infrastructure elements using configuration tools such as Ansible or Puppet. Additionally, the role includes maintaining and configuring cloud containers and administering MySQL databases in partnership with the Lead Database Administrator. The engineer will also work to mitigate potential vulnerabilities, harden systems, and maintain compliance with HITRUST CSF and PCI by collaborating with the information security and compliance team. Timely delivery of DevOps assigned stories and tasks while ensuring quality and security of each release is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years configuring, managing, and supporting Cloud resources.
  • AWS cloud experience (console and CLI).
  • Solid Linux knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (such as Ruby, Python, or Bash).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL).
  • Experience working with containers.
