About the position

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with experience in GitHub Actions to join our team remotely. This position is crucial for the automation of our build and deployment pipelines, ensuring that our software delivery process is efficient and reliable. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessing and selecting pipeline automation tools, particularly in comparing Jenkins and GitHub Actions. You will be responsible for automating the build and deployment pipelines for all components of our product, which includes migrating from managing artifacts in GitHub to Artifactory. This role requires a deep understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, as well as hands-on experience with various DevOps tools and methodologies. In this role, you will collaborate closely with development teams to streamline the deployment process and improve the overall efficiency of our software delivery. You will also be tasked with the deployment of artifacts from Artifactory, ensuring that our applications are delivered to production environments seamlessly. The position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute to our projects from anywhere while being part of a dynamic and innovative team. Responsibilities

  • Automate the build and deployment pipeline for all components of the product.
  • Assess and select the appropriate pipeline automation tool, comparing Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Migrate artifact management from GitHub to Artifactory.
  • Deploy artifacts from Artifactory to production environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes.
  • Enhance the efficiency of the software delivery process.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools, particularly GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
  • Experience with artifact management systems, specifically GitHub and Artifactory.
  • Familiarity with automation of build and deployment pipelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
