About the position

The DevOps Engineer I is responsible for developing and maintaining deployment pipelines for company applications, ensuring efficient and automated processes in the software development lifecycle. This role involves collaboration with team members on various aspects of DevOps and requires a strong foundation in software engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deployment pipelines
• Implement automated testing integration
• Participate as a team member on any aspects of DevOps as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Experience in at least 3 of the following: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar configuration tooling
• Experience with Terraform, CDK, Cloudformation or similar infrastructure as code tooling
• Familiarity with Artifactory, Nexus, or similar artifact repository
• Experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or similar cloud platform
• Proficiency in Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, or similar CI/CD tool
• Knowledge of Python, Golang, NodeJS, or similar scripting/programming languages
• Experience with Ubuntu, Amazon Linux 2, Debian or similar Linux
• Familiarity with Bash, Powershell, ZSH, or similar scripting
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or similar Container technology
• Knowledge of Git, Subversion, Mercurial or similar version control systems
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team
• Good verbal and written communication and documentation skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in more of the items listed above
• Experience with Datadog, Monit, Nagios or similar monitoring tool
• Familiarity with CloudWatch, Datadog Logs, Splunk or similar Log tool
• Experience with Nginx, Apache or similar web server tool
