The DevOps Engineer II at One Call Medical, Inc. plays a crucial role in automating and enhancing the build and deployment processes, as well as managing the public and private cloud infrastructure. The engineer will work closely with both application development teams and operational infrastructure teams, facilitating the full software deployment lifecycle. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting code and resolving coding issues, as well as coordinating the release of new or revised software and monitoring its performance. In this intermediate-level role, the DevOps Engineer II will be expected to handle moderate to complex issues with some degree of independence. The position demands a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical discipline or a related field. The engineer will utilize various tools, including Application Performance Monitoring (APM), to monitor production systems, address production issues, and implement performance and cost improvements. Additionally, the role involves driving DevOps automation and containerization strategies, planning, designing, testing, and delivering applications and infrastructure using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) models. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, scripting, and automation development, as well as familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and various programming languages. The engineer will also engage with information security to enhance the CI/CD framework with DevSecOps practices, ensuring that quality controls are enforced throughout the build, test, and deployment processes.
