The DevOps Engineer II will play a crucial role in automating and enhancing our build and deployment processes, as well as managing our public and private cloud infrastructure. This position is designed for individuals who are looking to make a significant impact in their work, contributing to our mission of providing timely care to injured workers. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving coding issues, serving as a liaison between application development teams and operational infrastructure teams, and ensuring the availability and scalability of systems. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring production systems, identifying capacity and performance issues, and implementing performance and cost improvements. In this intermediate-level role, the DevOps Engineer will work under light supervision, handling intermediate issues while referring more complex problems to higher-level staff. The engineer will be expected to possess a working to expert knowledge of DevOps practices and will actively participate in team discussions, sharing ideas and suggestions based on their experience. The position typically requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical discipline or related field. The DevOps Engineer will also be responsible for driving automation and containerization strategies that align with DevOps principles, planning, designing, testing, and delivering applications and infrastructure using a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) model. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, scripting, and automation development is essential, along with familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and various scripting languages. The engineer will engage with information security to enhance the CI/CD framework with DevSecOps practices and will enforce quality controls throughout the build, test, and deployment processes.
