About the position

The DevOps Consultant role is a contracting position focused on leveraging Kubernetes expertise to enhance deployment processes and manage technical debt. This fully remote position requires a seasoned professional who can step in immediately and work independently to implement improvements without extensive guidance.

Responsibilities

• Administer Kubernetes EKS environments.
• Deploy applications using Helm and Helm charts.
• Utilize Argo CD for deployment processes.
• Manage and improve existing deployment strategies.
• Address technical debt and implement improvements in the DevOps processes.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Kubernetes administration, specifically EKS.
• Proficiency in Helm and Helm charts for application deployment.
• Experience with Argo CD for continuous deployment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong background in AWS technologies, particularly AWS CDK and Terraform.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Artifactory.
• Experience with crossplane for managing infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.
• Experience with GitLab and GitLab pipelining.
• Familiarity with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
