About the position

The DevOps Consultant role is a contracting position focused on leveraging Kubernetes expertise to enhance deployment processes and manage technical debt. The consultant will work remotely and is expected to have a strong background in Kubernetes administration, particularly with EKS, Helm, and Argo CD, while also being able to step in with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer Kubernetes EKS environments.
• Deploy applications using Helm and Helm charts.
• Utilize Argo CD for deployment processes.
• Identify and mitigate technical debt within the infrastructure.
• Implement improvements in deployment and operational processes.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Kubernetes EKS administration.
• Proficiency in Helm and Helm charts for application deployment.
• Experience with Argo CD for continuous deployment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in managing technical debt and implementing improvements.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Crossplane for managing Kubernetes resources.
• Experience with Artifactory for artifact management.
• Knowledge of AWS CDK as an alternative to Terraform.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with GitLab and GitLab pipelining.
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
