About the position

The DevOps Engineer role at a leading FinTech scale-up in New York involves working with modern infrastructure and cloud technologies. The position focuses on improving the availability, robustness, and scalability of services while collaborating with engineering and cybersecurity teams. The role includes building, testing, and maintaining infrastructure and tools for software development and release.

Responsibilities

• Improving the client's CI/CD pipeline with features like automated rollback and canary deployments
• Setting standards for metrics, SLIs/SLOs, and alert responses
• Utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and other modern technologies
• Leading in defining and imparting best practices to the team
• Building tooling/libraries to enhance operational reliability and observability

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience, with at least two in DevOps or SRE roles
• Proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and CI/CD platforms like CircleCI
• Experience supporting Java production services and scripting
• Familiarity with GCP, AWS, Azure or similar cloud providers

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with technologies like PagerDuty, Datadog, and Postgres
