About the position

The DevOps Engineer, also referred to as The Automation Maestro, is responsible for optimizing software development pipelines and ensuring seamless deployments. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and automation necessary to support development teams and products, with an emphasis on creating efficient, secure, and scalable systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of applications.
  • Build and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to track application and infrastructure performance.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Implement security best practices across development and deployment processes.
  • Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to streamline the development process and ensure efficient code deployments.
  • Plan and implement disaster recovery strategies, ensuring data backups and failover systems are in place.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Travis CI.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deploying infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications.
  • Strong experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
  • Deep understanding of security practices related to DevOps, including secrets management, access control, encryption, and compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure management, or systems engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator, or Terraform Associate.
