About the position

The DevOps Engineer, also known as The Code Deployment Maestro, is responsible for creating seamless development-to-deployment workflows and automating processes to ensure reliable software delivery. This role involves building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with development and IT teams, and implementing security best practices to enhance system reliability and efficiency in software delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines that automate testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using IaaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline repetitive processes and improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with developers and IT specialists to align infrastructure and application requirements.
  • Integrate security measures into DevOps processes to ensure compliance and protect against vulnerabilities.
  • Utilize monitoring and logging tools to track system health and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in cloud services (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience in automation, infrastructure management, and working in agile environments.
  • Familiarity with security practices and integrating DevSecOps principles.
