About the position

The DevOps Engineer at Grey Matters Defense Solutions plays a crucial role in automating and enhancing the software development lifecycle. This position focuses on building and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary for efficient software development, testing, and release processes. The engineer will serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth communication and progress updates regarding software releases.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding software releases.
• Automate aspects of development, testing, and software release processes.
• Build and maintain infrastructure and tools for software development.
• Provide updates and feedback to customers on project progress and roadblocks.
• Work with external contractors and internal teams to define and utilize APIs.
• Translate complex mathematical concepts into code.

Requirements

• One (1) year of experience with Java, Groovy, C/C++, Ruby, Scala, or C#.
• Three (3)+ years of experience using Python, including libraries such as SciPy, NumPy, and Pandas.
• Three (3)+ years of experience with AWS services including C2S Integration, S3, SQS, SNS, and AWS CLI.
• Three (3)+ years of experience using Linux, specifically RHEL derivatives and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including containerization and security scanning.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MATLAB or Octave.
• Knowledge of SAR Image Processing.
